The Central Queensland University (CQU) is a non-profit, public higher education institution based in the rural small city of North Rockhampton, Queensland. Established in 1967, it has additional branch campuses across Australia and internationally in Fiji, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. CQU is officially recognized by the Department of Education and Training of Australia and has a large-sized student population ranging from 15,000 to 19,999.
